We frequently treat dogs for conditions such as:

  • Bite wounds and dog fight injuries
    Porcupine quill removal (common in Central NY)
  • Toxic ingestion (antifreeze, chocolate, rodenticides, medications)
  • Bloat or gastric dilatation
  • Difficulty breathing
    Heatstroke (especially during warm Auburn summers)
  • Snake bites during outdoor activities
  • Severe vomiting or diarrhea
  • Limping or sudden inability to walk
  • Allergies or skin conditions

Yes, absolutely. Call us immediately at 315-515-3074 if your dog has ingested something potentially toxic or dangerous. We may also ask you to call poison control for help in managing your case. Foreign body ingestion is one of the most common emergencies we see, and early intervention can make a significant difference in treatment outcomes and costs.

Yes. We recommend going to the nearest facility. We can provide stabilization and treatment for dogs who have experienced trauma from vehicle accidents. Depending on the severity of injuries, we may stabilize your dog and coordinate transfer to a specialty hospital for advanced critical care if needed.

Yes, we regularly treat bite wounds, fight injuries, and lacerations in dogs. These wounds often require cleaning, antibiotics, pain management, and sometimes suturing or surgical intervention.

Yes, urinary blockage or difficulty urinating is a medical emergency, particularly in male dogs. Call us immediately at 315-515-3074. This condition can become life-threatening within hours if left untreated.

It’s complicated. We are not equipped to do c-sections at this time, however, there are other support options that can help. Please call if your dog is in labor and experiencing difficulties, please be aware that we may recommend calling a larger facility.

If your dog is actively seizing, keep them safe from injury, note the duration of the seizure. We recommend you call your closest facility. We can stabilize cluster seizures, but please call us 315-515-3074, so we can be ready for your dog when it arrives.

Yes, we treat allergic reactions in dogs ranging from mild hives to severe anaphylaxis. If you think your dog is having an anaphylactic type reaction, please call your closest facility. If that’s us, please call 315-515-3074, so we can be ready to help as soon as you arrive. Signs include facial swelling, hives, difficulty breathing, vomiting, or collapse. Severe allergic reactions require immediate care.
