Our Team

DR. OSPINA, DVM, MPH, PhD
Owner
Dr. Ospina has wanted to be a vet since before she could walk! Even though she's a long way from home, born in Cali, Colombia, and grew up in Southern California, she calls Upstate New York her new home. She graduated from Cornell University with a DVM and PhD, and also has an MPH from UC Davis. She has been lucky enough to meet all of the right people and has put together a great team that is here to help service the community with urgent and convenient care hours for dogs and cats.
Outside of work, Dr. Ospina stays busy with her three little humans (on opening, day ages, 2, 4, and 6!), and an extra-ordinary husband! At home they tend to: one large white dog (Polar Bear), one cunning beagle/cattle dog (Murphy), and hardworking cats, sheep, chickens, and cows. If there is any extra time in the day, she enjoys sewing.
"I hope you don't need us, but we are here if you do." - Dr. O.

DR. REID, DVM, CVMA
Associate Veterinarian
For Dr. Reid, Veterinary Medicine is her third career! She was working as a legal secretary but she always knew she wanted to work with animals. She started as an LVT and worked for 6 years in a private practice and 6 years at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. She attended Cornell University after that to become a Veterinarian. Dr. Reid is also a Certified Veterinary Medical Acupuncturist. She has worked in private practice and emergency medicine.
Prior to her retirement 6/1/21, she owned and operated the Veterinary Emergency Center in Baldwinsville for 17 years. Dr. Reid and Dr. Ospina worked together for 15 of those years.
To soothe her right brain, she sings with the Spirit of Syracuse which is a Sweet Adeline chorus. She lives with 3 cats and a dog, all of whom are the best pets ever!

DR. PANTIN, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Pantín wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember, and has always been passionate about being an advocate for animal health and wildlife conservation. Originally from Miami, FL, she was effectively misled about what winter was like before moving up north to attend Cornell University for veterinary school. She was lucky enough to have gotten into contact with Dr. Ospina before graduating, and then joined the practice as an associate veterinarian shortly thereafter.
In addition to working at UVC, Dr. Pantín is currently pursuing an accelerated Master of Public Health degree at Cornell University. She is getting married this year to her fiancé with whom she shares two ferrets, named Coquito and Tequi (if you are wondering, yes, they are very aptly named). If she has any time to spare between work, school, and wedding planning, she is an artist who enjoys acting and singing, as well as writing and directing for the stage and film.
